Snakkna was created with the mission of making language learning more accessible, practical, and affordable. I believe that learning a new language doesn't have to be complicated (or expensive): with clear content, everyday examples, and materials designed for different levels, anyone can progress at their own pace.
The name Snakkna comes from the combination of two Norwegian words: snakk (“speak,” the imperative of the verb å snakke) and nå (“now”). In other words, “Snakkna” literally means “speak now.” This idea perfectly reflects the spirit of the site: encouraging you to start using the language right away, without waiting for the “right moment.”
The goal is simple: to help you learn a new language, open doors, and discover new cultures. Whether for studying abroad, work, or curiosity, Snakkna is here to support your journey toward fluency!
For now, only English, French, and Portuguese; soon, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, and Spanish will be added.
